CVF includes several boarding choices. All horses are fed forage and/or alfalfa hay two to three times daily. Paddocks are cleaned daily. CVF practices sustainable pasture management including soil enrichment, parasite control and composting manure for the organic farm.
Owners can choose from three horse care options; all plans include turn-out, blanketing and supplements. Additional paid services are worming, vaccinations, farrier, veterinarian care and training. Clark Valley Farm has two knowledgeable women operating their stable. Dana Tryde is a CVF co-owner and Barn Manager. Dana graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a BS Biology. Involved with horses since college, she is especially interested in providing quality care to performance horses. Dana utilizes natural horsemanship techniques handling CVF horses. Her personal riding interests include natural horsemanship, dressage and endurance. Megan Towle, moved to CVF in August 2003. Megan is also a Cal Poly graduate in Agricultural Business. She grew up taking care of her grandfathers polo horses and started her own club in 2001. This non profit club has high school, college and adult teams practicing and competing in their polo arena.
